Dale Francis – President: Dale is the Owner/President of Francis Torque Service and Torq/Lite®, our manufacturing division. He introduced hydraulic bolting services to the drilling industry nearly 40 years ago and is still actively involved in the daily operations of both companies.
J. Dodd Smith – Vice President: Dodd started his career with Francis Torque Service as a salesman in 1987 and quickly advanced to Sales Manager, General Manager and now Vice President. 30 years with Francis Torque and his “hands on” approach provide Dodd with knowledge of all aspects of the company from technical training to customer expectations.
William “Bill” Dunn – Director of Operations: Bill joined Francis Torque Service in 1997 and quickly advanced into management. He has 20 years with Francis Torque and over 40 years of experience in the field of hydraulic wrenches and industrial tools. Bill is our certified OQ “Bolting” assessor responsible for qualifying all of our bolting technicians.
James Randall – Operation’s Manager: James joined Francis Torque Service in 2006. He has 10 years with Francis Torque after retiring from Greywolf Drilling Company with over 30 years in the field. His experience with contractors and crews makes him a perfect connection between our service technicians and our customer’s field personnel.
Melanie Mosley – Safety Manager/Human Resources Representative and Quality Coordinator: Melanie joined Francis Torque Service in 2007. She has 10 years with Francis Torque and over 15 years of experience in the safety, human resources and quality management systems. Melanie oversees ISNetworld, DISA, Avetta, SafeLand, SafeGulf, NCMS and our many safety/drug/alcohol policies. Her experience and commitment to safety helped Francis Torque Service attain the coveted “RAVS Plus Verified” designation, achieved by less than 1% of all ISNetworld members. Melanie assures our customers the quality they expect while remaining incident and accident free.
Our top six technicians have over 100 years combined bolting experience at Francis Torque Service. All training is based on acceptable practices outlined by ASME_PCC-1_2013 Guidelines for Pressure Boundary Bolted Flange Joint Assembly. Every assistant technician logs thousands of man hours, safely performing bolting services before promotion to senior technician.
